At a time when the VAS ecosystem appears to be on the decline, Jonathan Bill, SVP (Innovation and Business Development) for Vodafone in India has been leading the charge for opening up the telecom operator networks to a wider ecosystem for participation, integrating telco billing for apps through third party vendors. As consumption of data increases and 4G networks (hopefully) grow, the relationship between telecom operators with both Mobile VAS and (Mobile) Internet and App companies is going to change.
